Christmas at The Fitz


Big thank you to Bob Slack and all involved , Christmas at the Fitz on Saturday 29th December 2018 was a huge success raising a whopping £2685 towards the restoration works on the Cenotaph.

Grand Window Competition – 5th Dec 2018


Today The Mayor of Cockermouth Cllr David Malloy and the chairman of the Chamber of Trade, Ruth Gildert walked around Cockermouth looking at all the shops Christmas windows, it was a tough one with so many shops displaying such beautiful windows this year. Cockermouth Christmas Lights 2018


On Sunday 18th November, thousands gathered to watch the Mayor of Cockermouth Cllr David Malloy and local school children switch on our amazing christmas lights. The street was lined with festive stalls, and entertainment on stage. The street was full with festive cheer.

Mayors Christmas Coffee Morning


On Saturday 1st December,  The Mayor of Cockermouth Cllr David Malloy raised an amazing £214.65 for his chosen charities. The Mayor also presented certificates and prizes to the winners of this year annual Window Spotting Competition. 1st Prize - Eva and Emilia Humphreys 2nd Prize - Poppy & Emilie Sparke 3rd Prize - Isabella Day

There but not there


We have been lucky enough to secure funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund for 10 'There but not there' silhouettes perspex figurines to commemorate the fallen. These figures will be used throughout the Town to highlight the sacrifices made by so many. There will be a service on Sunday 11th November 2018 at 1.00pm
